The writers at iNintendo.net strongly believe in the scoring policy every review on the site has used since 2009.

Sound - An overview of the game's soundtrack. This includes music, sound effects, and voice acting. Sound is scored out of 15 points.

Graphics - An overview of the game's graphical prowess. Details such as texture quality, frame rate steadiness, atmosphere, and overall art style is discussed here. Graphics are scored out of 20.

Appeal - An overview of the game's replay-ability. This includes extra side quests, the game's overall length, and general fun-factor. Appeal is scored out of 25.

Gameplay - An overview of the game's gameplay mechanics. Details about the game's controls, features, and how well everything works is discussed here. Gameplay is scored out of 40.

Overall - The overall score (out of 100) is determined by adding each score from the above criteria.

100: Masterpiece.
95-99: Amazing.
90-94: Awesome.
85-89: Great.
79-84: Very Good.
70-78: Good.
60-69: Okay.
50-59: Mediocre.
40-49: Below average.
30-39: Bad.
20-29: Awful.
1-19: Terrible.
0: Unplayable.
